We are looking for a software developer with a DevOps mindset to work in a dynamic team developing Ninth Wave's enterprise project management solution. Working primarily in Java and JavaScript, you'll be developing and expanding the company's highly-scalable, next-generation product, SmartCore.  To our clients - who include some of Britain's biggest blue-chip companies in the financial, professional services and energy sectors - this is a mission-critical application.  

You'll be given the opportunity to research and investigate new technologies, particularly in the areas of data visualisation, secure communications and enterprise systems interfacing.  In addition to application development and testing you'll be providing third-line support of existing client installations. 

• Design and code new features which will be rolled out to hundreds of thousands of users

• Perform client installation and upgrades

• Collaborate in the design of our infrastructure, architecture, technologies and processes to enable us to work more efficiently

• Practise pair-programming when learning new technologies

• Peer-review code and join team code reviews

• Attend daily team stand-ups

• Assist our implementation team in problem resolution

We require an Honours Degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline, with a focus on programming. The preferred candidate will be academically strong, intellectually curious and self-motivated.
